Bird's Nest

Birds Nest was organic, tactile, and sculptural, inspired by natural forms, protection, and display. Feathers, woven structures, and nest-like silhouettes created a sense of ritual and transformation, as if the crowd had collectively evolved into something fragile, feral, and ceremonial. For this one I not only made my outfit, but my friend's outfit as well. Her body was meant to resemble a tree, and her hair and hat being the birds nest. I was meant to be her bird but in the style of an old Vegas show girl with ostrich feathers engulfing my face.
